Felder to play golf at Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Tournament

Felder will be participating in the 50th Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Golf Tournament hosted by Arnold Palmer, which takes place January 19-25, 2009. More information about the location and times are on the tournament's official site.

I stumbled upon this on a recent search - a video showing clips of Felder performing live interspersed with interview segments. It is basically an ad for him as a corporate event act, but his fans should enjoy it, as it shows clips of him not only singing Hotel California but also Victim of Love, Life in the Fast Lane, Take It Easy, Those Shoes, and Already Gone.

According to wmbb.com, Felder recently appeared at a charity gala to support the Bay Medical Foundation. The money will go towards building a new hospital wing.

Felder plays Niagara Falls on Feb. 20th and 21st

Don Felder is going to play the Fallsview Casino and Resort's Avalon Ballroom in Niagara Falls, Ontario this February 20th and 21st. Tickets go on sale Nov. 15 through Ticketmaster.

Sorry for the late notice, but Don Felder is doing a show at the Rancheria Casino and Resort in Jackson, CA on Oct. 12. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster. Thanks for the heads up, Mike!

Additionally, Felder is playing the House of Blues in San Diego, CA on April 10, 2009. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.

Mike also discovered that Don Felder is playing the Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella, CA on April 11, 2009. For tickets to events, you can call the box office.

Alfred Dunhill Links Championship starts today

Don joins a number of amateur golfers from the worlds of film, music and sport in the prestigious pro-am Alfred Dunhill Links Championship today. The tournament will be played over three days at three courses, St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kings Barns, all situated on the east coast of Scotland near Dundee. Don is partnering Jean-Francois Remesy and was due to tee off on the St Andrews course this morning at 9.33 BST.

There is live coverage on Sky Sports One.

According to the publishers Orion, Don will be signing his book at Waterstones in Milton Keynes, at 17.00 on Wednesday 10 September.

Athletes Against Autism

On June 22 and 23, Don Felder participated in a charity golf tournament to raise money for Autism Speaks, which is "dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder." He did this as part of the group "Athletes Against Autism" and helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the cause. The event took place in Santa Barbara at the Bacara Resort and Spa.
